• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question ftp user permission

besi

New Pleskian
hello
i want to create ftp user with just read permission to specific folder.
in linux plesk there isnt this
please help to solve this

as a workaround you can try to add .ftpaccess file to your specific folder

Code:
<Directory /var/www/vhosts/DOMAIN/httpdocs/SOME_DIR>
    <Limit CWD PWD DIRS READ>
        AllowUser YOUR_FTP_USER
    </Limit>
    <Limit ALL>
        DenyUser YOUR_FTP_USER
    </Limit>
</Directory>

hello
i want to create ftp user with just read permission to specific folder.

Do you mean "just read permission to only a specific folder and no permission for everything else", or "just read permission to that specific folder and normal access to everything else a ftp user in that subscription can normally do" (which is what Brujo's workaround does)?
