German as default and only Language

First of all a "hello" to all forum members! :)

I ordered a root server and spent the long weekend to check some tools for managing it. For this i made a local debian installation on one of my PCs to "play a little bit". After having trouble with nearly all other tools, i decided to use Plesk for this.

Installation of the demo on my "test PC" was quit smooth after reading, that bind9 must be installed before Plesk can be installed. After this, everything was really smooth :)

But there is one issue i can´t resolve: The language!

For my rootserver i intend to buy the plesk 30 domain license. But on my test installation there is no way to change the language to german!

As i read, you need additional "language licences" if you want to use more than one language. OK, i won´t spent another $99 for this ... because i really don´t need it. I just want to have german as the one and only language.

But in my test installation, german can´t be activated because of a missing language license. Deactivating english (and activating german as default language) is not possible ("Default langage can´t be deactivated").

For testing purposes it won´t matter ... but when i purchase Plesk next week, i want to have a GERMAN version.

Any idea how to manage this?

Thank you,
Marco

Hi Bender,

this won´t work. The options for "default locale" and "Admin´s Intetrface Language" shows only english as an option. The other language packs are installed, but the can´t be activated (as mentioned above).
