  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Ok, here comes a little workaround!

Create the domain as an ACE string: xn--gieen-nqa.de

There is a converter here: IDN-Web-Converter - DENIC eG

After the domain has been created, you must change the display name in Plesk's database:

1. "domain_aliases" change "displayName" from "xn--gieen-nqa.de" to "gießen.de"
2. "dns_zone" change "displayName" from "xn--gieen-nqa.de" to "gießen.de"

This method is only temporary. If the customer changes something here, it will come to errors. But maybe that will be so integrated by the Plesk team.

But you can also differentiate here. if a domain is already created "Giessen.de" then he should "Gießen.de" save it as an ACE string. If not, then he should save "Gießen.de" as "Giessen.de".

Or you create it correctly and always converts to an ACE string.
