• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

hey guys,

I've got a question. I'm trying to find a way to get plesk to recognize an email address I want to set up.

the domain however should NOT be added to plesk. basically, I dont need anything from that domain, except 1 email forwarder and I obviously dont want to waste a domain license for that.

any idea how I could acchieve this?

If you do all the changes manually (not thru the Plesk control panel), then you would need to modify the bind/named files, qmail control files, setup the /var/qmail paths and create the .qmail file for that user. The bind/named (named.conf and zone file for that domain) files you'd want to edit/create them and keep backup copies once it's working since Plesk will overwrite them when other changes are made in the CP.

ok. too much hassle.

I think I'll just force people to use my new address then.
