• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Go for windows 2008 web server or R2?

Basic Pleskian
I have Windows 2008 web server and use Plesk 8.x (the latest). I need a new server and I am thinking what is best to use, the 2008 or the 2008 R2? The sad fact is 2008 can not be upgraded to R2, the new licence must be bought for 500 $. So... is it worth upgrading to R2 or should one stay with 2008? In regards to Plesk 10 also taken into consideration. Are there any things that work on one and not on the other?

Unfortunately most of the questions on this forums are not answered at all... Considering I read Plesk 10 can not be uninstalled... something is really wrong.
