• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Going Back to Plesk 7.5

My isp refuses to support Plesk 8+ and blames all my problems on the upgrade (cop-out says i)

Trouble is i dont understand the problems im having enough to be able to resolve them on my own so i want to go back to version 7.5, start over, and have some comfort in that my isp does not have a get out of jail card because I updated.

Can I use the client/domain back-ups from 8.0.1 to reinstate the same information on 7.5?

I' d like to do a VPS reinstall followed by an add file and restore for each of the client data backups taken from 8.0.1 as this would save me a load of headaches.

Are the backups backwards compatible ?

Thanks in advance.
