upgrade won't allow new sites to be added or deleted

I can create new Clients but when I get to the domain setup I keep getting this error somehow related to the FTP info. My server is Fedora Core 4.

Error: Unable to update hosting preferences: Unable to create system user: Empty error message from utility. Unable to create system user: Empty error message from utility.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue. Did you resolve it? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

Any particular package(s)? Any details I should know?

Andrew

I have the same error. Any recommendation I should do...? Thanks!

It is hard to say what can be the problem . Try to check /usr/local/psa/admin/logs/httpsd_error_log file for more exactly errors. You can also try to create system user manually on your server with help of /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/usermng which is responsible for this action. Use '--help' option to get available options and try to add new user. By the way, do you have any problems when you create new user in your system with help of 'adduser' command?

I did a mysql database update using yum. There were a few dependencies that I had to update using yum aswell, which are pointed out when you attempt the yum upgrade. Update each and then try the database update afterwards.
