  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Please,

I need help setting up the DNS template. I am ruinning plesk behind a router. I can see the placeholder page for the server but I can not access the webmail. I probably am missing something in the DNS template. Please advice..

thanks in advance.

Look at the chapter 'Configuring Parallels Plesk Panel to Run Behind a Router with Firewall and Network Address Translation' in Plesk Administrator's Guide. I hope it will help.

Thanks IgorG

Thanks I read the tutorial, but Iam still a bit confused. I configured the DNS template as mentioned in the tutorial but for the ip I still have a question:

if for example my static ip is 175.195.8.258 and my router ip is 192.168.1.1 , which of these two I have to type in the A records for my websites to be available for internet users? Plesk is using 192.168.1.102 (assigned by the router)
do I also have to use the same ip for the NS records?

I have a linksys router with built in firewall and ports are configured as the tutorial.

Thanks in advance

Yes, Plesk configures domain hosting based on the IP address assigned to the server (Plesk CP > Home > IP addresses).
In your case it is internal IP address 192.168.1.102 that is not accessible from the outside.

So, you need to cpnfigure DNS template with external IP address 175.195.8.258:
replace <ip> placeholder in DNS template in Plesk CP > Home > DNS settings
with 175.195.8.

then try to create new domain and check DNS settings for the domain - it should use 175.195.8.258
