• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

High Memory Usage After 9.2.3 Upgrade

Anyone else noticed a big jump in memory usage after upgrading from 9.2.2 to 9.2.3? Seems my system went from using around 500mb to using around 3gb.

Which process is consuming memory? Bugfix list is kinda tempting to install this update, but I guess I was already burned too many times with these updates. Can you see with top (F, n, enter)?

The thing is nothing is really showing as consuming a ton of memory. It's likely an artifact of the update process (and that Linux doesn't 'free' the memory as Windows does once it is not being used). The swap file isn't terribly utilized (160k utilized). I'd suspect if I rebooted the system, it would come back and show normal usage.

I'll dig some more, or see if I can get a release window to reboot the server to test my theory.

There hasn't been a performance hit that I've noticed after the upgrade, and given the bugs that are fixed and the appearance that this is a cosmetic 'issue', I'd still make the upgrade.
