• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hob to block IP address from Server

HI,

Can anyone tell me how to block an IP address from the server. I was hacked 2 weeks ago and that IP address is still trying to get in every night.

I made an abuse notification but that providers doesn't react.

Hello, Toepes

The most efficient solution is to use firewall.
You can use a hardware firewall, this should be solved with your network administrator.

Or, you can use Windws Firewall, which is also configurable through Plesk (Plesk -> Server -> IP addresses -> Firewall)

If you want to block the IP address for some specific services, you need to check the blacklist settings.

you should know that Windows firewall is not able to block dedicated port on dedicated IP

Toepes
you may configure IPSec settings like firewall to block dedicated IP

I meant blacklist settings for services (Mailserver settings, IIS settings, etc)
