  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Plesk 7.5 for Windows has been designed and tested for security. The software’s redesigned impersonation subsystem improves overall system security as well as support for 3rd party FTP servers that make secure uploads possible. Furthermore, sender Permission Framework (SPF) support provides elevated spam protection and ensures that your mail will be received by mail services adopting this policy, e.g. AOL or Hotmail.

"...and ensures that your mail will be received by mail services adopting this policy, e.g. AOL or Hotmail!!"

I don't have a clue how DNS works which is why your Tech support setup my DNS with 123reg. But now my 30 day free support is up.

So my question is:

Why can't people register on my sites if they have a Hotmail account?

Please don't come out with a tonne of technical words. Just stick to words like, "Log in to your admin CP, click on this, click on that and if that's not this then untick those". Or, "Uninstall Plesk even though you payed over £100 for a problem that not even our tech support could fix, then try the free version of Cube Panel as its pretty much the same as what you payed for".

Is anyone using Cube Panel Light? Do you know if the default settings are compatible with Hotmail accounts?

I really don't wanna put a message up on all my sites saying, "Sorry! I'm using Plesk! You won't be able to register with a Hotmail account!".

Thanks, J.
