  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How can I merge Domains?

DReffects

Basic Pleskian
Hey Guys,

I've upgraded from Plesk 8.6 to 10.1 and am stuck reassingin the hosting plans.

While before, my customers had hard limits in terms of space, bandwidth etc. those limits seem to be gone. Customers only have an adress and nothing more. Each domain has it's own subscription. I run into problems here. I previously had domains that only forward to another domain but still have email-adresses. Now i have to assign a subscription plan to each of this domains, therefor increasing the total amount of space that is being useable by each customer.

This is total strange and annoying :(

I figured that if i would be able to merge the things i used to call 'Domains' and now are called 'subscriptions' together i would be able to solve this, but i don't see how i can do this.

Customer A has 4 Domains (3 of them only with mails, no hosting) - if i am creating a subscription plan that would allow 4 domain i'd be fine. But right now the customer actually has 4 subscriptions - one for each domain and no global per customer limit can be applied :(

Any i dea what i should do?

Thanks!

We are in this situation too. Our customers with multiple domains from plesk 9 now have multiple subscriptions. I'd like to merge these subscriptions together and group them under the customer's 1 subscription.
Doing this manually is a pain as you'd have to tar up the files in httpdocs, change ownerships of their db's, then delete the subscription and add the domain to the subscription you want to merge everything into, then recreate all their mailboxes.

Igor, is this the recommended way to setup Plesk 10 for customers with multiple domains, whom don't want to go down the reseller path and have to juggle resources between domains/subscriptions?
