• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

How can I select mysqli database instead of mysql while creating a new database?

New Pleskian
Hello Friends,

When I try to create a new database under any of the subscriptions, I see only 'MySQL' under 'Type'. I do not see any options to select and create a 'MySQLi' database. I have verified that mysqli is installed and loaded on my server.

Can anyone point me in the right direction and let me know if I can create a mysqli database in Plesk Panel 11.5?

I have searched the forum and couldn't find any answers. There were a couple of similar queries, but I observed that no one has replied and hence, instead of bumping that old thread, I have created a new one.

I have also included a screenshot of the phpinfo file.

Thanks in advance for any help that I get.

Regards,

Sidd
