How do I allow SMTP server to be used by clients

Hi there,

We are running a Plesk 7.5.4 controlled server and have a question regarding SMTP.
One of our customers travels a lot around the world and doesn't want to change his outgoing mailserver constantly.

We would like him to be able to use SMTP on our server.
Now we saw some options but have no idea how to activate this.

Can someone tell me the steps that we have to take to have our client use a, secured login and pass, SMTP serveradress on our server?

If someone knows how to do this please be so kind to let me know.

Could you please clarify, why is your customer, even if he travels a lot around the world, has to change his outgoing SMTP mailserver constantly? Not quite clear for me.
Re SMTP server -- you already have one -- it is psa-qmail. What you need is an interface (mail agent) to communicate with it (use 25 or 587 for outgoing SMTP connections, create a mailbox in Plesk, specify login credentials in your mail agent, etc.).
In case if you are still looking for a way to access a mailbox from any computer which has Internet access, then Webmail could be a solution. It provides easy-to-use interface of accessing clients mail hosted at your Plesk server (kind of local Yahoo.com, managed by you). It is enabled in the domain hosting setup and is accessed at http://webmail.domainname.com. See for more:
