How do I create an FTP account?

When you setup a domain you enter a username and password. Use those credentials to login via FTP.

I created a domain and web user.

When I was in the Plesk control panel I could not go into this user's folder as I was getting access denied.

Very strange.

Does anyone have a novices guide on how to setup a new web server with plesk?

It turns out that the server had a firewall installed which was blocking me.
