I am wanting to run the GD2 extension for php. How would I go about setting it up so that it will auto load and work?

Im running Plesk 7.5.3 on Mandrake 10.0

I would do that but in the php.ini file it has a noet about Mandrake saying this

"On mandrake we don't add the extensions in php.ini anymore we put them in /etc/php/<number>_<name>.ini

I look at my extensions dir and it has no gd.so or anything like that. I am fairly new to plesk and linux so how else could I do it or is there a way that you could show me
