  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

How do I get my domain published?

I just created a second domain, after having my single one for 2 years ever since I migrated from Freepgs.

The second domain isn't publishing. I created the main index.html page and everything, and it's been a day and the site still hasn't appeared.

I'm wondering if I need to have it published through the Sitebuilder Wizard.

If that's the case, I don't know how to use it because it is grayed out on my Plesk Desktop and I can't click on it. Is there any way to activate it? I AM a member of Plesk after all....

(I tried to use the Demo on the Parallels products page and when I tried to log-in my username and password were invalid. It doesn't make sense because my regular desktop works fine.)

Help =S

it is difficult to suggest without knowing plesk and sitebuilder versions.

1. have you created this site in Sitebuilder wizard and now want to publish it?
2. have you created this site directly via Sitebuilder administrator page?

note that if you have plesk 7.6.1 and Sitebuilder 3 or older versions it is recommended that plesk configures publishing location also in this case if Plesk and Sitebuilder are integrated there should be Sitebuilder Admin panel in Plesk.

you just enable sb support for the domain in Plesk and Plesk configures publishing setings
then Sitebuilder wizard should be available for the domain in Plesk, and you will be able to open it, go through all steps and publish the site automatically

Click setup and check that Publish Site in Sitebuilder is checked on Plesk _CP-Domains-domainname-setup

The box to check it is gray and cannot be checked. :S
I dunno why.
In the past, my websites would publish everytime I saved/updated a document like a web page in the File Manager/httpdocs.

I wish I could continue doing that instead, since the Site Builder costs extra or something.

I'm using 8.3 just to clarify if there's any confusion.

It looks that either client doesn't have account in SiteBuilder, or SiteBuilder is not select on Plesk CP-Component management

Firstly, I want to thank you for all of your help so far.

I agree with that, it makes sense.

But I still don't know why I can't save documents (like my .html pages) using the regular html editor. I mean, it lets me save them, but the changes don't go in effect, thus my site is never published.

It doesn't make sense how I supposedly "need" Sitebuilder to publish my sites, when in the past it was as simply as creating some html script and hitting "Save."

I don't want to pay extra money for a bunch of features that I don't need, only for a "publish" button. Is that really how far I have to go?
