• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

How do I install software?

I want to install MS Access, MySQL, BrowserHawk, and a few ASP components. How do I do that? The documentation has little to say on this issue that I could find.

Do I just upload the installation file(s) via remote desktop, then run it? Would the installed app be visible in Plesk? Or do I have to install the apps from within Plask?

All these manually via RDC... Plesk got nothing to do with it.

Ok, how do I do this? How do I upload the install files?

After they've been uploaded, I just run them?

You don't upload them - you download them with browser via RDC and install like you would on your local computer.
