How do I install the latest Plesk for Windows without causing any problems?

Hi,

I've read a lot about people having all sorts of problems when upgrading from 7.5 to 7.6. Is it possible to do without causing any problems for myself and sites hosted on the server?

The main problems I read about were:

* File permission problems (main one)
* ASP.NET problems

My Windows Plesk nodes integrate with HSPC.. has anyone had positive experience upgrading in this scenario?

Thanks,
jacko

In my opinion don't upgrade - as simple as that.

No problems with asp.net but whoever thought up the file permissions should be shot.

Here we have a control panel which decided to lock everything up. It just doeesn't make sense.

Hi nethosts,

Thanks for your reply. I had a reply from SwSoft support saying that I should go directly from 7.5 to 7.6.1 and skip the 7.6 version which introduces the permission problems and others.

Need to test this in a test environment first I guess.

Regards,
jacko
