• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question How do I set Let's Encrypt correctly for a customer domain?

MisterX

New Pleskian
Hello,

how do I set up the following domains under Plesk Onyx with Let's Encrypt?

https://www.customerdomain.com
https://www.customerdomain.com:8443
https://webmail.customerdomain.com

The domain "https://www.customerdomain.com" works perfectly with the Plesk Onyx Let's Encrypt extension.

The other domains do not work.

The Webmail function under "SSL / TLS certificates" unfortunately does not work with Let's Encrypt.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thank you!

To access to the Plesk panel, you should use https://your.server.hostname:8443, and you can setup a letsencrypt certificate for this address in Tools & Settings > SSL/TLS Certificates > Certificate for securing Plesk
For your webmail, just create a subdomain webmail.customerdomain.com and use let'sencrypt to create your certificate. Then you will be able to use it to protect the webmail.
