  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

How do I set up an external mail server (dns?)

My client wants hosting through me but has an exchange server on a public IP they want to continue to use for E-mail. No problem as far as I'm concerned. I didn't want to set-up their 40 some-odd addresses anyways. But this, I've never done. Is it as simple as changing the DNS record that normally points to their hosting IP and replacing that number with the public IP of their exchange server?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, that's kind of what I was looking for. Actually, this appears to be for the Linux Operating System and my server is on a Win2003 server box. Any ideas on how to convert the information to my paradigm?

Yes, this is the Plesk for LINUX forum, you may want to post your question on the Plesk for WINDOWS forum..
