Question How Do I update php.ini file ?

That depends on your PHP application.
As a general rule, post_max_size should never be lower than memory_limit.
We use memory_limit 256M and post_max_size 256M here and this is compatible to most PHP applications. Some apps such as Magento require a higher value, but for most apps this is sufficient.
For max_execution_time anything between 30 and 300 seconds should be fine
