I use rblsmtpd with -r servername parameter with 5 different rblserver.

I want to query an ip address fron rblsmtpd from console for spesific server.( i don't want to query from servers website ) is there any parameter to test an ip ?

> /usr/sbin/rblsmtpd -r bl.spamcop.net 85.104.41.219

rblsmtpd: pid 10950: 451 v=spf1 -all
220 rblsmtpd.local

> /usr/sbin/rblsmtpd -r sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org 85.104.41.219
rblsmtpd: fatal: unable to run 194.27.57.19: file does not exist

Second one;

I want to ignore myclient's ip's from rblsmtpd
If i add an ipaddresses to mydns server like
safedomain in A ipnumber ;
after i add myservers ip a parameter to rblsmtpd with -a
can i exclude these ip's from RBLsmtpd ?

Hi Gumush,

rblsmtpd isn't meant to be used this way. But it uses reverse dns-lookup. So to check you need to either use:

1. dig 219.41.104.85.bl.spamcop.net (repeat for other rbls)
2. install rblcheck from rblcheck.sourceforge.net

You can use your own dns-server but you need to set-up reverse dns for the ip's you want to anti-rbl.

Remember to put the -a options before the -r otherwise it won't work.

Ton

Yes, as far as I know it only uses dns.

At lease rblsmtpd does, perhaps other solutions have other capabilities.
