• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Question How to install python on Plesk 12.5.3 for Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

Roger S.

New Pleskian
Hello

How to install and configure Python on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard to be available for Plesk and subscriptions?

Thank you

Roger

Just enable Python support in Hosting Parameters of your Service Plan and created subscriptions based on this Service Plan.

Hi Roger S.,

correct, Plesk does not install "Python" on your server, if you use Plesk 12.5 ( pls. see as well: => How to install Perl/Python on Plesk 12.5? ( KB - article 1491 ) and https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/12.5/change-log/
...
The ActiveState Perl distribution is no longer shipped with Plesk.
The ActiveState Python distribution is no longer shipped with Plesk. (PPP-10564)
...
... , but IF you installed it, Plesk can enable the Python - support for your domains.

Consider to use the guide from => http://docs.activestate.com/activepython/2.7/installnotes.html and install for example "ActivePython v. 2.7" as 32-bit version. ;)
