How to REJECT mail to non-existent address on domain ALIASES?

From reading the forum it looks like swsoft knows about the bug where you can't set how mail to non-existent address is handled on domain aliases and doesn't plan on fixing it.

So here's my problem, I have a domain alias that has been around so long it's receiving well over 1,000 bogus e-mails per day and instead of rejecting them it's bouncing them. Well each one of those bounces counts against my daily smtp limit with my web host so my smtp server is shut down before I ever wake up in the morning.

Does anyone know of a work around to get mail to non-existent address on domain aliases to reject instead of bounce?

2. Give us the option to modify, or mirror the settings from the primary domain for the Domain Alias's Mail Config. If "Bounce" is selected, let it bounce. If "Reject" is selected, add the domain to the list in /var/qmail/control/rejectnonexist so that it'll reject instead of bounce. If Catch-All, set up the Catch-All address on it. But please give us a way to manage it properly.

I'm using Plesk 8.0.1 with the latest updates (21/11/06). It seems that the "bounce" and "forward" settings for the master domain are also applied to all alias domains - even after you subsequently change them to "reject" (the reject setting is not applied to any alias domains).

So, the only workaround I have been able to find, is to set-up a forward to a non-existent user on an external domain (doesn't work with domains local to the server for email). Emails are not rejected as such, but at least you won't be swamped by SPAM non-delivery failures for all your bounce messages! You can set the master domain to "reject" without affecting the divert on the aliases.

The alternative is to manually edit /var/qmail/control/rejectnonexist to add the domain in question, but that would mean manually updating the file after every Plesk change!
