• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Question How to run git commands on plesk?

Hi, I am using git to deploy my website on plesk.

Everything has been running perfectly, except now I would like to undo a commit. I have been told to run the command "git revert {commit_id}" and it will do what I want.

However, I don't see an option to run this on plesk panel.

When I try to do this in terminal it says that 'not a git repository'.
Is there a way to do this in plesk or via ssh?

I am trying my hardest to find a way to do this via the website but I am unsuccessful.

It's counterproductive to make or revert commits directly on the deployment server, it's preferable to do so on a local development setup. Git extension for Plesk is designed specifically to facilitate this workflow.

Even so, to use git within a domain, you need to specify the repository location with --git-dir and the working directory with --work-tree. For example, assuming it is located at the root of your domain and that httpdocs is the deployment folder:

Bash:
git --git-dir=git/[repository-name].git/ --work-tree=httpdocs/ status
