Question How to set default country for customer creation dialog?

Normally on our servers when we log in with the German language and create a new customer, the default country for that customer was "Germany".

Since the latest micro update this is no longer working. Now the default country is always "United States".

I am seeking a way to set this to "Germany" again. So far I did not find any article on this in the knowledge base, neither anything on the forum. Does anybody know how to set the default country for the customer creation dialog?

I've opened a ticket on this with Plesk support. I'll report the solution here, if there is a solution.
