How to turn off PHP safe_mode

Hello All,

I am trying to install an application that requires the PHP safe_mode to be "off" . I have opened Parallels Plesk panel and made sure the setting is off, yet I still get an error when the application installer checks the configuration and it still says that safe_mode is enabled. Where else can you change the global settings for the server?
