How To Upgrade MySQL.

I'd like to upgrade MySQL on my Windows Plesk v7 from the existing MySQL v4.0.20a to a newer version.

Can anybody point me in the direction of how to do this, do I just run the MySQL executable and move the directory to the correct folder in Plesk or is it a little more complicated?

ask support before doing it. plesk uses mysql even for its internal structure. you can break the whole plesk

Thanks, I was fairly certain that this was the case but not 100% sure, I'll leave well alone.

I'm waiting for the final version of 7.5 to come out, do you know if this has an updated version of MySQL?
