Question How To Use algorithm hmac-sha256; rather than algorithm hmac-md5; for Slave DNS

Hi,

The slave DNS plugin has a pull down but only hmac-md5.

I would rather use the stronger encryption and hmac-md5 is no longer default for bind9 Debian 11 servers at the very least.

I know its a minor issue but the pull down does exist and it seems easy enough to offer other stronger algorithm's.

I know how to modify the slave config files just would be nice to do this at configuration rather than hand editing files.

agree with this one allow it to be a dropdown and let users select but default should be the best secure one

I have good news regarding hmac-sha256. The PR with changes was merged into the code and successfully tested during the past week. I hope the new minor version (with these changes) will be released during this week.
