How use crontab to delete messages from mailbox older 7 days

I need this functionality, please help

Hello,

You can use the option of qmail :

# for 3 days
echo "259200" > /var/qmail/control/queuelifetime
# for 2 days
echo "172800" > /var/qmail/control/queuelifetime

And restart the service
/etc/init.d/qmail restart

Regards

i found other solution

find /var/qmail/mailnames/domain.pl/drweb/Maildir/cur/* -type f -mtime +7 -exec rm {} \;

it is good solution ?

That depends on which messages you want to delete. The new directory contains unseen messages, the cur directory contains seen messages. If you want to scan all files for the account, just use /var/qmail/mailnames/<domain>/<account>. If you only want to delete seen messages, specifiy the cur subdirectory.
