Howto aktivate PHP5 ?

Hallo,
i have a root server with Suse10 Plesk 8.01
PHP4 and PHP5 installed.
Now i would aktivate for users PHP5 optional->
when i give a script .php ending i should php4 when it is .php5 then it should php5.

in phpMyAdmin as root it was php 5.0.4 but as user it was php 4.4.
When i upload a script thats ebding with .php5 i see it as textfile in the browser.

what must i do to using php5 as user.

i have read that i must edit vhost.conf but i cant find vhost.conf.
the httpd.include in thh user directorys was anytime overwritten.
