• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue HTTP/2 activation on Plesk stopped server

Sergey K.

Basic Pleskian
According to Advisor recommendation, I've activated HTTP/2 - screen - Screenshot
After that all site were down and Plesk access too.

I tried to do according to this article - HTTP/2 Support in Plesk

# plesk bin http2_pref disable

It didn't help me

Any workaround how to disable wrong http2 activation?

Updated: Hosting firewall blocked traffic. When Firewall was disabled - all sites operated well.
I read this article how to install HTTP/2 - it looks not so simple :-(
HTTP/2 not working on browsers

Final question:
When protocol HTTP/2 will be activated what rules should be added in FireWall to operate correctly.

HTTP/2 cannot affect the firewall and vice versa. There has got to be a different reason for the behavior, e.g. a missing IPv4 exclusion in your Fail2Ban for your server's own IP. Also, activating http/2 will reconfigure the web server, so maybe what you are experiencing is a reconfiguration phase during which the web server has not restarted yet.
