Hyperlinks Don't Work

I can't get hyperlinks to work when building my site.

It looks ok in the software, but when I preview, nothing happens when I click the links, and in the bottom bar (where it should show the url when you hover over a link), it just says "javascript:void (0)...(long number)..."

I did it just like in the video tutorial. What has gone wrong?
