Hello,
I've opened an account on Abusix website to solve a rejected email adress problem. They offer for free their Guardian mail service up to 5000 requests a week. I guess it means 5000 mails received on my server each week ? They have a partnership with the french ISP Orange, which should mean it's a serious company. Here is what they say about Guardian mail :

Protect your mail servers against spam and malware

By using an additional layer of defense against spam, malware, phishing attacks and other email-borne threats.

I would like to know if some of you have subscribed to Guardian mail, and what they think of it.

Thank you

I don't have any experience with Abusix, but their Guardian mail looks similar to the Spamhaus DQS service. Which is free for non-commercial use and can be intergraded for used with Postfix or Spamassassin directly. They claim to block 99% of malicious emails, which seems unrealistic to me. I used the Spamhaus DQS service on some servers in the past. It does a pretty good job and is a great addition to other (public) blacklists, but it's not perfect.

I've configured Abusix for my server. It seems to work fine. They tell to configure Spamassassin to get better filtering :

Can I edit the local.cf file mentioned below to add the instructions they give ?

And to restart spamassassin, is systemctl restart spamassassin enough ?

I've found the answer to my question here :

Now Spamassassin is also configured to use Abusix. I've noticed and my friend too less spam since I use this service. It's nice. In fact, the free plan allows up to 5000 requests per day, and I'm far below. So I'll keep using it.

After you opent this thread I decided to try Abusix Guardian mail myself. I configured it on one server for use with SpamAssassin and got it running for just over a week now. So far I am quite impressed. I have been using Spamhaus DQS for a long time, which is a similar service. For both services I have been using the free versions, but Abusix's free versions seems to catch/identify more spam and a lot more phishing messages compared to Spamhaus DQS. And the paid tier of Abusix Guardian mail is much more affordable than Spamhaus DQS too. I'll probably add Abusix Guardian to my other servers as well and see if I can tweak things a bit more that catch even more spam.

I am pretty happy with Abusix Guardian mail. So thank you for opening this thread and introducing Abusix to me :)
