Resolved If bind is not installed, autoinstaller causes "DNS Service is not installed on this instance" error

Seeing this on several servers occasionally since approximately two weeks:



- What are the implications?
- How can I figure out which module is affected and what is causing this to happen?

Peter, it seems that this is an error from DNSSEC extension. Do you really have this extension and not installed bind?

On most systems, KernelCare is NOT installed.

That's the reason for this error message. DNSSEC extension can't be installed without BIND. According to Change Log for Plesk

Extensions whose licenses were installed in Plesk are now automatically installed.

I can't find hints in installer logs either. It all looks normal.

extensionAutoInstall = false

will solve this issue? And actually there is not really an issue, because as we don't use bind we don't need DNSSEC either, right?
