IIS equivalent to the Apache .htaccess file?

Quick question, what is the Plesk Windows 8.2 equivalent of the .htaccess redirect file?

I've uploaded our .htaccess files that worked perfectly in the Plesk Unix 8.1 environment, but obviously on Plesk Windows utilizing IIS 6 they have no effect.

Is a different type of file required?

Thank you in advance!

I'm not entirely sure what .htaccess files are used for, I believe they're used for defining security access and some other bits.

Under Windows, you would do this directly on the file system. Each website runs under a distinct user account and is given appropriate NTFS permissions under Plesk. If you're wanting to password protect a directory or something similar you'd prbably be best adding the accounts via Domains>Domain Name>Web Users and then giving them relevant permissions as required under Domains>Domain Name>Web Directories

Sieb thank you very much for the link -- very helpful information. I'll give that a go.

A great control panel addtion would be a remote way to add redirects into the IIS Manager via Plesk, instead of requiring physical console entry.
