• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question IMAP disc space too high

XCore

New Pleskian
I have a specific user that is using IMAP and saves everything including attachments. It's consuming about 100GB of disc space right now. Is there a setting I can change/add/update that will force all their mail to be saved on his local machine and not the server?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You can limit the mailbox size in the definition of the subscription. If you provide unlimited mailbox size to users, users will save unlimited amounts of data. There is no option to disable IMAP to force a user to use POP3 only, and even with POP3 the user would not necessarily need to delete downloaded messages from the server.
