imap not working properly

Hi there

I'm suffering an imap issue I think. When I tried to log into webmail on my server I discovered that suddenly I was getting login failed all the time. I was able to enter before. I checked port 143 on ssh and I got connection refused but with grep everything seemed to be running ok. I have tried to check everything that I found on the forums and the internet but still the connection was refused. I'm able to use pop3 in a proper way.

any ideas ?
