• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Dear All,

I am trying to import an existing database into plesk 8.0.0 which was created using OsCommerce and I'm having a few problems. When I try to import the file into Plesk it pops up with an error:

SQL query:

-- phpMyAdmin SQL Dump
-- version 2.6.4-pl3
-- http://www.domain-name.co.uk
--
-- Host: domain-name.co.uk
-- Generation Time: Nov 06, 2006 at 12:57 AM
-- Server version: 4.0.27
-- PHP Version: 4.3.10-200.schlund.1
--
-- Database: `old_dbnamehere`
--
CREATE DATABASE `old_dbnamehere`

It has a note underneath this explaining:
MySQL said:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-- phpMyAdmin SQL Dump
-- version 2.6.4-pl3
-- http://www.mydomain.co.uk
' at line 1

Could anyone point me in the right direction please as I can't find any solutions to make this work.

Thankyou in advance,
Stephen
