• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

In a bind over BIND CPU Utilization

I have a new server with Plesk 6.5 for Windows. Apart from half a dozen domains installed (and not really being used) this is a vanilla Plesk installation done by the techies at Server Matrix.

BIND appears to be doing it's job just fine. Here is an example DNS report which shows that apart from a few warnings everything is working ok:

http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=adzapper.biz

The problem is after about an hour or so the CPU utilisation goes to around 40%. If I shutdown BIND and then restart it again everything is ok for another hour.

The server is running Windows 2003 with the following spec:
Dual 2.4GHz Xeons
2 x 80GB Drives
2024MB RAM

Does anyone know what maybe causing BIND to use so much CPU and what the cure might be?

Many thanks,
Martyn
