  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

In a subscription with 77 databases, the main menu "Databases" link results in a "no elements" output of the database list

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

Obsidian 18.x with #3
CentOS 7.9

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

A subscription has 77 databases. I that subscription when the user clicks on the "Database" menu in the left main menu pane, Plesk shows an empty list with "no elements". When the same user in the same subscription clicks the "databases" link in the right pane (the one that can be open and closed with the tiny arrow icon at the top left), all databases are shown as always.

The difference between the two links is that the main menu "Databases" entry links to https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database
while the "Databases" entry in the right fly-out/drawer list links to https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database/list.

In other subscriptions on the same server, the "Database" menu in the left main menu pane works as expected.

The psa database has no inconsistencies. All subscription databases are actually present on the server and working.

I think that the main menu item has a wrong link. It should have the link https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database/list instead of
https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database, because https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database/list always works as expected.

Is this a bug, is this related to the number of databases in a subscription?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Probably, but not sure like this:
Create 77 databases in a subscription.
Login to the subscription.
Click on the "Databases" entry in the main menu on the left side.

ACTUAL RESULT

"No elements" in the database list.

EXPECTED RESULT

Should list all databases.

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The difference between the two links is that the main menu "Databases" entry links to https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database
while the "Databases" entry in the right fly-out/drawer list links to https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database/list.

When opening https://<hostname>:8443/smb/database/list through a link or manually through a direct address (URL) entry in the browser, the database list is presented as expected. I think that the main menu item should simply have that link and not the /smb/database only link.

Peter, this is bug PPPM-13599

Workaround
Add the following to the panel.ini:
Code:
[navigation]
switchToAllWebspacesAfterCreation = false

Fixed in Plesk 18.0.45:

Additional users restricted to accessing only one specific subscription can no longer see the list of all subscriptions of the customer. (PPPM-13599)
