• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Resolved Incorrect predefined access control value

Jens Johansson

Basic Pleskian
Hi,
I noticed an issue or inconsistency with the UI for creation of a new database. The default value under access control is "Allow remote connections from any host" but it should be "Allow local connections only" because that is, what we configured in tools and settings under database hosting preferences.

Thank you for the report, @Jens Johansson . Frankly, I am not entirely sure if the system value should be set by default during database creations, but it does make sense to be. I will confirm with our team if that would be considered as a product bug and follow up with more details.

@Jens Johansson , the behavior was confirmed as a bug identified with ID PPPM-15001. At this point, I cannot provide an ETA on when the fix will be introduced. You can monitor the change log here. Thank you for bringing our attention to the issue.

We have released an update today which fixes the issue with the predefined access control value. If you have automatic updates enabled this update should be installed automatically overnight. Plesk Obsidian 18.0.71:

Fixed the issue where the serverwide remote access settings of MariaDB/MySQL database users were not used by default when creating a database in Plesk. (PPPM-15001)
