  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question information about Advisor

CiaceNT

New Pleskian
Hi, I have a dedicated server with CentOS and Plesk 17.8.11 installed, with the advancement of the version new extensions called "Advisor" appeared, I activated "Enable HTTP / 2" to improve the speed of the site, in addition to the aforementioned extension there are two other extensions: SpeedKit Extension and PageSpeed.
I would like to know if they are compatible with each other or if they will create conflicts when installing them?
Have a nice day.

Best Regards

I would like to know if they are compatible with each other or if they will create conflicts when installing them?

No known issues yet when you install the 2 mentioned extensions. So just read carefully and undestand how the extensions works. Even if they are mentioned in the advicor it does not neccesarily mean they have to be installed.

I searched online for information about possible incompatibilities between Enable HTTP / 2 and SpeedKit, but found nothing.
SpeedKit is a very interesting extension but I'm not sure about problems with other settings, already plesk has created problems for me.
In case the installation is not ok, can I fix it with the backup?
Excuse me if I disturb you but if you have more experience than me I would be grateful for advice and the possibility of restoring everything by uploading the backup.
I also have another doubt, currently plesk has not activated the https protocol and I would like to activate it using Certbot, could I have future problems?

Thank you

SpeedKit is a very interesting extension
yes indeed it is, but also I see that some people just be focused on speed & performance and overdue just things... so just test it out and make your own decission if it is worse to use and spend time & money on it..

already plesk has created problems for me.
well sometimes Plesk makes problems if you try to do manually things which should be handled via plesk panel or cli comands...

plesk has not activated the https protocol
afaik plesk has everything you need on board and take a look to the 2 extension lets encrypt & SSL-IT, can/will handle usually most of your needs now and for the future.

Hello everyone! We would like to know your opinion about Plesk Advisor extension: what you like about it, what you feel can be improved or added. The survey is quite short and should take just about a minute: http://ple.sk/PleskAdvisorSurvey . Thank you in advance!
