  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Installation in VirtualBox

Hello,
I wanted to test Plesk 9.0.1 on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS before actually upgrading my server.

Therefore I have installed it in a virtual machine (VirtualBox 2.1.4). The installation worked fine.

But when running the Plesk Panel the menu Server at section System is missing.
Instead I have a menu called Parallels Virtuozzo Containers. When I open it I have no options it just says Warning: Your Parallels Plesk Panel software is not running in Parallels Virtuozzo Containers.. What is actually true!

How can I convince Plesk that it is running on normal Server even when running in a virtual machine?

Thanks for Help and Best regards,

Oliver
