Installing multiple php versions fails due to dependencies

I tried to install php 5.3

Before able to .configure php source, i must install several dependencies. I resolved most of them but installing libmcrypt-devel gives the following error:

---> Package libmcrypt-devel.x86_64 0:2.5.7-5.el6.art will be installed
--> Processing Dependency: libmcrypt = 2.5.7-5.el6.art for package: libmcrypt-devel-2.5.7-5.el6.art.x86_64

libmcrypt = 2.5.7-5.el6.art
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest


I have no idea how to solve this.

yum downgrade libmcrypt-devel

Unfortunately it does not work:

yum downgrade libmcrypt-devel
results in:
No Match for available package: libmcrypt-devel-2.5.7-5.el6.art.x86_64
Nothing to do

Sorry, my bad.. it should be:

yum downgrade libmcrypt
