Installing .NET Framework Version 2.0

I currently have a windows 2003 server (Web edition) with Plesk 7 installed. It runs for months now without any problem.

If I install the .NET Framework 2, will this interfere with my plesk configuration or is this a completely independent process?

I don't want my stable configuration to be messed up...
