  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question installing plesk on cent os 7 without root access

When you su, you have root access. The question was if you can install without root access. If you can issue sudo su, you can also permanently escalate privileges with su and then install it as root.

The installation of Plesk on CentOS 7 without root access is not possible. Plesk requires root access to install and configure properly. Without root access, you will not have the necessary permissions.
If you need a web hosting control panel and do not have root access, It is possible to install a web-based control panel in a user directory such as cPanel or Plesk.
Alternatively, you could use a shared hosting provider that offers Plesk or another control panel as part of their hosting package. That will allow you to use the control panel without root access.
It's important to note that if you're trying to install software or modify your server in any way without root access, you might be violating the terms of service of your hosting provider. Before attempting any modifications to your server, it's always best to contact your provider.

Su alone does not grant you full root access to the server, so Plesk cannot be installed without root access.
You can temporarily assume the identity of another user using su, typically the root user, but you are only granted some of the root user's permissions.
To install Plesk on CentOS 7, you will need full root access to the server. If you don't have root access to the server, you will need to contact your hosting provider or system administrator to request root access or have them install Plesk for you.
