• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Installing PostGIS/GeoServer with Plesk

New Pleskian
Hello everyone!

First off, I am relatively new to Plesk. I used to manage my servers with Froxlor and many things had to be done manually there.

My server is running Plesk 12.0.18. I want to use Cartaro (a GIS enabled Drupal version) on my server.
Whats the best way/practice to do this with Plesk (Cartaro requires PostGIS and GeoServer)?

I already enabled/installed the regular Postgres database server with Plesk. I am currently trying to do the same with Tomcat so I will be able to run GeoServer (getting some errors here though).

I hope someone will be able to help and tell me whats the best way to do this? Should I try to stick with Plesk with as many things as possible or do it outside of Plesk?

thank you very much in advance
- Emanuel
