Installing updates to 8.1

I downloaded the latest update to 8.1. I was told to do this prior to updateing to 8.2x.
I saved the file downloaded from Plesk to my windows server 2003 desktop. I double click the exe file and a command window opens briefly, says nothing. then closes, and nothing happens.

I've never installed an Plesk update before, but I've installed dozens of other updates for windows software and never seen this behavior.

Any ideas appreciated.

According to the updater section of the control panel I have 8.1.0 update 070216.19
I'm trying to install 8.1.1.2 update 070517.18

Am I looking in the wrong place?

It is not enough information. Could you please repeat attempt to install update and look at Event Viewer for error messages?
